Priory Community School - An Academy is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Teacher of Science to join our vibrant Science department. We are looking for a highly committed, positive, and skilled practitioner who will be responsible for delivering high-quality Science lessons at Key Stage 3 and 4.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Identify clear learning and teaching objectives and specify how they will be taught and assessed.
  • Set tasks, including homework, that challenge students and ensure a high level of interest.
  • Develop and enhance the teaching practice of teachers in the department.
  • Establish and maintain a safe environment and purposeful working atmosphere that supports learning and in which students feel secure and confident.
  • Maintain accreditation with examination bodies and stay ahead of national curriculum changes.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • A passion for Science across all 3 subjects and an ability to teach across a range of students of different ages and abilities.
  • Relevant secondary teaching experience.
  • A deep-rooted dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
