The Priory Learning Trust is looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work at Castle Batch Primary School Academy. We require an enthusiastic individual who would like to support a child/children in a lower key stage 2 year group. A knowledge and experience of Speech and Language Difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Social Emotional & Mental Health is desirable.
We are part of The Priory Learning Trust, comprising of local primary and secondary schools, enabling us to work closely with a range of practitioners from all phases of education. This is a very exciting time for Castle Batch and a great time to join us.
As part of this role, you will;
- Work under the direction of the class teacher to ensure learning targets are achieved and the child is supported to achieve their best in the school environment.
- Promote wellbeing by encouraging them to develop good relationships with others, develop their self-reliance and self-esteem and help them adjust to new settings.
The successful candidate will have;
- Excellent and effective communication skills.
- A good standard of education/ three or more GCSEs including maths and English at Grade C minimum or L2 Literacy and Numeracy.
- Some experience of working with children with Speech and Language needs.
- Some experience of working with children with Social Communication needs.
- An ability to adapt and respond to the needs of the children.

This role involves working with children on a daily basis and is therefore in regulated activity.
